These monthly webinars seek to explore the challenges and strategies for the decarbonisation of heating and cooling. Our October webinar features two speakers from a Heriot-Watt University's Urban Energy Research group and their recent work in assessing cooling in Indian Homes.

We are delighted to welcome speakers:

Professor David Jenkins , will present on the "Multi-disciplinary assessments of cooling in Indian homes - CEDRI project"

Professor Jenkins is Professor of Energy and Buildings, leading the Urban Energy Research Group (UERG) at Heriot-Watt’s Centre for Excellence in Sustainable Building Design. An active researcher at Heriot-Watt since 2005, David has over 100 publications in the field of energy in buildings and worked on a number of research projects such as “Tarbase”, “Low Carbon Futures (LCF)”, “Adaptation and Resilience In Energy Systems (ARIES)”, "Community-scale Energy Demand Reduction in India (CEDRI)", ReFlexOrkney, and the £20M Centre for Energy Systems Integration (CESI)

Dr Andrew Peacock will present on "Dispatchable loads from Indian cooling - DAC project"

Andrew is an Associate Professor in the School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society at Heriot-Watt University. His research interests include renewable energy generation, energy management and energy efficiency in buildings.
